The Tactical Department provides strategic help with the following responsibilities for the chapter:

• Advise Security regarding solutions to event venue security problems
• Plan for emergency measures in case of dangerous event (e.g. sighting of a tornado)
• Educate members in tactical environmental awareness (e.g. checking back seat of car)

Examples of positions available in this department are Tactics Specialist and Site Security Analyst.

The Department Chief for the Tactical Department is currently Brigadier General Brett Price.  He is currently looking to step down. In order to hold this position, they are required to be compliant with SFDPP 101, 102 and the yearly re-certification of SFDPP, as well as the completion of the OCC and OTS within STARFLEET Academy.
