The Chief of the Ship is the most senior enlisted person aboard the ship.  They train, direct and supervise enlisted personnel in the various ship's day to day activities.  They serve in, or take charge of damage control parties. 

Aboard the USS Alan Turing, the Chief of the Ship is the liaison between the Command Staff and the enlisted personnel within the chapter, making concerns and issues known as well as working with Command Staff to bring about a resolution to any issues and concerns within the rules of SFI, the Chapter's Bylaws, and local laws.

The current Chief of the Ship of the USS Alan Turing is Master Chief Petty Officer David L. Moss. David is an exiled member of the Continuum. David is a Graduate of Starfleet Academy. While at the academy David earned his certifications for Chief Science officer and Commander. David also serves as the MCPO of STARFLEET and the Director of Enlisted personnel. David is a member of PETFLEET and STARFLEET Sciences. When David is not doing things with the Ship or the Fleet , he is Managing a Food Pantry in rural Oklahoma and Hosting a Star Trek Podcast called Tomorrow is Yesterday.
