The Command Division is the corps of officers and crewmen within Starfleet whom specialize in command and control of functions on ships, starbases, and numerous Starfleet Command positions. Those in the Command Division are considered to be in supervisory positions.

Members of the command division are trained in leadership and have tactical training, allowing them to take decisive action in organizing and mobilizing Starfleet crews to perform missions. Command Division personnel include most of all the Admiralty, Captains, Executive Officers, Second Officers,  and Adjutants.  Some examples of personnel in this division include Commanding Officer, Executive Officer, Second Officer, Ship's Adjutant, and Chief of the Ship.
