Sciences is the division that guides the ship, researches the spatial anomalies we encounter, ensures our health and well-being, and otherwise provides for our knowledge, both what is known and what we have yet to learn. Sub-Departments within this department include Planetary Studies, Space Studies, and Medical. Within the Medical Division, there are the subdivisions of Psychological Services and Spiritual Services.

Examples of the various departments within this division have been posted to the group's Facebook page. Requirements for being a Department Head are as follows:

Complete the STARFLEET Data Protection Policy course within STARFLEET Academy, as well as maintain the refresher every year while this position is held.
Complete the Officer Training School and Officer Command School courses within STARFLEET Academy.
Submit an article from your department every month to the ship's newsletter.
Work with your division leader in order to recruit and expand your department.
Act as a liason between your department to the head of your division and Command Staff.
