Operations Division is composed of several departments: Communications, Engineering, Entertainment, Helm Control, Logistics, Navigation, Security, and Tactical. It is, as the name implies, responsible for the overall operation of the ship and its functions.

Examples of the various departments within this division have been posted to the group's Facebook page. Requirements for being a Department Head are as follows:

Complete the STARFLEET Data Protection Policy course within STARFLEET Academy, as well as maintain the refresher every year while this position is held.
Complete the Officer Training School and Officer Command School courses within STARFLEET Academy.
Submit an article from your department every month to the ship's newsletter.
Work with your division leader in order to recruit and expand your department.
Act as a liason between your department to the head of your division and Command Staff.
